Baku State University (BSU) of Azerbaijan and Ankara University have signed an academic cooperation protocol providing for collaboration in the fields of academic studies, culture, research and education .
The protocol was signed by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev and Ankara University Rector Necdet Ünüvar in Ankara, the capital of Turkey.
Under this document, the two universities will exchange scholars and students, hold joint seminars, conferences and workshops, and implement international scientific and educational projects and programs.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Rector Necdet Ünüvar stressed the importance of the protocol, expressing his confidence that cooperation with BSU, the largest university in Azerbaijan, will develop further in the future.
BSU Rector Elchin Babayev noted that Baku State University maintains close cooperation with higher educational institutions of the sister country in the field of science and education. Babayev expressed his belief that cooperation with Ankara University, which is one of Turkey’s oldest universities, would be beneficial for both higher education institutions. He also highlighted the prospects for the implementation of joint projects and academic and scientific cooperation in the future.
Founded in 1946, Ankara University was the first higher education institution in Turkiye. A public university of more than 60,000 students, it offers an extensive academic portfolio with courses in several scientific disciplines, including social, medical, natural and applied sciences, as well as arts and sports.
